Taking a cue from the artists in the exhibition Alexander Calder and Contemporary Art, visitors can sculpt and play with forms, materials, and ideas to make their own art at the MCA Creation Stations. During the day, visitors can feed their inspiration with the colors of the Farmer’s Market, and during the evening, create art to the rhythms of jazz. The theme of the September 7 Creation Station is “nature,” during which guests can discover elements of nature in the exhibition and then go outdoors to create nature-inspired art.

The Farmers Market Creation Station is from 11 am – 2 pm and the Jazz on the Terrace Creation Station is from 5 – 8 pm. These drop-in themed workshops feature a new activity every week and are open to all ages. Every Tuesday the MCA is free all day and open until 8 pm.
