Educational and conservation messages inspire visitors as they ride the brand new carousel at the Sacramento Zoo. This hand-carved managerie features 32 lifelike animals; some are endangered, all are children's favorites. Carousel animals include an anteater, flamingo, jaguar, ladybug, snow leopard … even a peacock chariot designed to accommodate people with disabilities. Each carousel animal is carved from wood, then hand-painted to create a truly unique piece.
