Using the best scientific knowledge gained from discoveries from the La Brea Tar Pits, Page Museum researchers have created three different ecological settings of what Southern California may have looked like 10,000 to 40,000 years ago. Guests walk down a waterway, see chaparral and sage, and tour a canyon setting. Information on how animals interacted with the foliage and how early humans may have used them, and their ecological importance today, is also on display.
