Explore dinosaurs, meteorites, 500 plus mammals, 1,000 birds, including huge whale skeletons and a 42 foot prehistoric Kronosaurus at the University's most visited museum. Don't miss the famed Blaschka “Glass Flowers” —the collection boasts 3,000 incredibly life-like handcrafted models of flowering plants—and the two-story Great Mammal Hall. New exhibits include Language of Color, New England Forests, and Mollusks: Shelled Masters of the Marine Realm.

The University's most visited museum, the Harvard Museum of Natural History displays some 12,000 specimens, including dinosaurs, rare minerals, hundreds of mammals, birds, and Harvard’s world famous Blaschka ‘Glass Flowers’. The HMNH combines historic exhibits drawn from the University's vast collections with new and changing, multimedia exhibitions such as New England Forests and Language of Color. Just a 7-10 minute walk through historic Harvard Yard from the Harvard Square MBTA Red Line ‘T’ station. Open daily, 9 am – 5 pm, 361 days/year.
