The Prudential Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in downtown Newark, New Jersey. The Prudential Center originally opened its doors on October 25, 2007. The Prudential Center features 750 flat screen television
monitors, 76 luxury suites, an eight-sided high-definition video scoreboard, a 4,800 square foot LED screen and two large signature entrance cylinders. Although still somewhat a baby in the arena industry, the Prudential Center Newark has already become a popular New Jersey and New York metropolitan area venue for sports and live entertainment.
The Prudential Center’s youth hasn’t hampered it from becoming one of New Jersey’s hubs for sporting events. The Prudential Center Newark is currently home to the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, the MISL’s New Jersey Ironmen and the NCAA’s Seton Hall Pirates Men’s Basketball. The housing of great teams like these has allowed the Prudential Center schedule to provide its community with sporting events at a professional, collegiate and amateur level.
Newark’s Prudential Center kicked off their official opening with inaugural performances by The All-American Rejects, Daughtry, Bon Jovi and New Jersey native My Chemical Romance. Since then, the Prudential Center schedule has continued to keep the hit performances coming. The Prudential Center schedule also annually features a number of sports games, music concerts, political rallies, family shows and special events. With so many different events featured on its calendar every year, the Prudential Center has easily become one of Newark’s finest multipurpose venues.
