Built in 1903, the New Amsterdam Theater was once the largest theater in all of New York, with 1,800 seats.
After years as a movie theater, the Walt Disney Company bought and renovated the New Amsterdam. The theater is now home to Disney-based musicals, formerly The Lion King, and now: Mary Poppins.
