The San Francisco Children's Art Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower children and foster their sense of self through artistic exploration. Their focus is on a process-oriented art experience. While providing instruction in the use of art materials and techniques, teachers guide students through the creative process in an effort to elicit and support each child's individual style of visual expression.
They offer a full range of classes for children ages 22 months to 12 years of age. School-age children have the opportunity to attend topic classes where they can choose from themes such as Photography Mixed Media, Art in the Garden, Clay, and Pictures and Words. Weekend programs include classes on Saturdays, and Art Birthday Parties and Family Workshops on Sundays.
