The Greenwood branch of the Seattle Public Library system. The branch's former building was recently replaced with a 15,000-square-foot new branch, and now has an expanded collection capacity of 66,700 books and materials.
It has soft comfortable seating for children, a special area for teens, 38 public computers, underground parking, and a meeting room that can be reserved for community use. Two study rooms provide space for tutoring and other uses, and a small conference room can host limited meetings. A quiet room is an alternative to the activity of the main reading room.
The branch recently expanded its collection of books, videos and music in Spanish. Bilingual staff are available to answer questions and help patrons.
A non-smoking outdoor balcony on the east side of the building overlooks a 40-foot planted area.
