Alpine Meadows Ski Resort is situated in the picturesque Tahoe National Forest and offers skiers and snowboarders 2,400 acres of terrain. With 14 lifts, more than 100 trails, and majestic views of Lake Tahoe, Alpine Meadows is accessed via Interstate 80, 45 miles west of Reno, NV and 200 miles east of San Francisco, CA.
In Winter 2008/09, Alpine Meadows will grow its popular Kids Program from its previous two divisions to four. The new categories will help kids learn faster and give parents more choices.
The new Munchkins Camp is dedicated to teaching three and four year old skiers the basics in addition to assisting kids and parents to learn about proper winter attire, and most importantly, how to have fun on the slopes.
Using the latest Burton Learn-To-Ride equipment, the Grommet Camp gives children ages five and six a great way to try snowboarding. Five and six year old skiers will explore Alpine's trails in the Ripper Camp. The ever-popular Mountaineer Camp continues to offer exceptional kids coaching for skiers and snowboarders ages seven through 12.
All camps are available daily in both full and half day sessions.
