Woodland Park is an exciting rectangular complex just southwest of Green Lake and north of the Fremont district. It is separated into two parts, by Aurora Avenue, so basically its two parks in one. The side west of Aurora is devoted to zoo exhibits, some picnic space, formal rose garden, and an amusement park for children. East of Aurora, the park is largely an informal picnic park with pleasant grassy hills and pathways. It contains ballfields, tennis courts, walkway paths, and a dog off leash area to play with your dogs.
