Arcade Branch Library was opened on April 1, 1941 in the home of Mrs. Day near the corner of Fulton and Edison Avenues. On March 10, 1950, it moved to a 600 square feet store-front at 3348 Fulton Ave. in Kittley Corners. In March 1964, the branch was relocated to 2727 Marconi Ave. in Town And Country Village. The facility had 2,887 square feet, a book collection of 15,000 volumes and offered service to the public 59 1/2 hours per week.

It sounds like this whole thing was a nightmare, and like everyone was in a bit of a shock.
Of course I can't speak for the Library, or even your particular situation.
I do hope your child is alright, and that this
was just a fluke one off occurrence.

What to expect is an unhelpful staff! My toddler fell and hit his mouth on one of the bookcases. He bit through his lip chipped his tooth and split open his gums. NOT A SOUL HELPED ME!!! My son's mouth dripping blood and all the employeees did was stare while I fumbled for my purse, diaper bag, etc with bloody child in tow. I was obviously looking for a restroom to clean up my son and do you think anyone could show me where it was? No, I had to yell across the room at someone behind a desk and all he could do was point. I am 100% completely UNHAPPY with the lack of concern for my bleeding, screaming child. I cannot express how displeased I am!
