From its roughneck days to being the City of Planned Progress, Pleasanton’s Museum on Main tells it all. In a most unique way: with ever changing exhibits spanning the Civil War to today’s modes of transportation.
A permanent exhibit covers the times of cowboys and ladies with hooped-dresses as well as items from the museum’s years as a police station and city hall.
Lectures, tours for all ages and interests, even a not-too-scary haunted house each October provide another glimpse into Pleasanton’s appealing heritage. And don’t miss shopping at the gift store that provides wonderful new treasures continuously.
